Summary: Remove PHP iCalendar from members module
Product: openFIRST
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: members
AssignedTo: de...@op...
ReportedBy: ti...@op...
Remove the PHP iCalendar installation from the members module (since it's
currently an out of date version, anyway). Replace it with the ability to
install a standard PHP iCalendar installation as its own module, and modified
integration with the workspace in members for uploading if such an installation
is detected as present.
Basically, this would allow for faster upgrading of PHP iCalendar by end users,
make the calendar a module that can be selected from and isn't dependent on
members, and cause us not to have to maintain a second copy of all of their
source. So, overall it makes things a bit more modular, and answers that
question that people keep asking about "when will openFIRST get a calendar
module" despite the project already having support for calendars. So, it's
something that would make the calendar functionality more visible.
