This system could be modelled after the phpBB mod which attempts to do the same thing at: http://www.phpbb.com/files/mods/disable-spambots-1.1.4.mod Overall, this is completely transparent to the user. Sample guestbooks which have been attacked by unwelcomed parasites include: http://www.portperryrobotics.ca/guestbook/ http://dev.portperryrobotics.ca/guestbook/ http://demo.openfirst.org Numerous other guestbook software available online is affected by these same spam bots; this is not a problem unique to the openFIRST Portal System, but we are in a unique position to fix this.
