[openFIRST-devel] Team 357 Portal System

Hey,

Team 357 ( http://www.team357.org ) is currently in the early stages of
developing what is essentially identical to the openFIRST Portal System.
I learned of this through a student Mr. Jonathan Knippschild who
volunteered to enhance the FIRST Blogs APIs.  Their portal system is
going to be based off the software they're currently using to run their
website.  I talked with Mr. Knippschild for a while about the project
and he thinks it would be a good idea for him to help with openFIRST
instead; but, also says in the end it's not his call, it's the call of
Mr. Troy ( http://team357.org/?page=profile&user=64 ).

Mr. Knippschild said he'd talk to Mr. Troy and what I'd like to do to
help is send a letter to Mr. Troy on behalf of the openFIRST project
explaining who we are, what we do, the history of the project and
inviting them to help us out rather than developing their own portal.
Attached is a draft of the letter that I'd like to send to Team 357.  If
you could proofread/comment on it before tomorrow that would be great.
