hello, I have some problems when scheduling with a loop: it is always saying my event wants to overlap...but when I schedule at the same time without asking to loop it works.. |

hello, the timetable doesn't convert the seconds into hours: a program of five minutes starting at 16.55 ends at 16.60! .. also, I sent a message that was too big before, if you haven't got it here is the text I wrote again: hi, here are a few things that came out: 1- fq player doesn't play anything and says 'nothing scheduled' although on the timetable there is a program scheduled for that time: if there is an error about the file it doesn't say anything and only writes 'nothing scheduled' 2- still says that the event wants to overlap even if there is nothing scheduled at that time on the timetable and the timetable is just been created 3- get an error advertisement when log in as admin: -the page is not showed properly- all this both with windows 2000 and Mac 9.2.2 |

hey Chiara... I fixed that bug with the 60 minutes! good spotting! > the timetable doesn't convert the seconds into hours: a program of five > minutes starting at 16.55 ends at 16.60! .. > 1- fq player doesn't play anything and says 'nothing scheduled' although on > the timetable there is a program scheduled for that time: if there is an > error about the file it doesn't say anything and only writes 'nothing > scheduled' thats a problem...can you chek to see if your clock on your computer is set to the right time? > > 2- still says that the event wants to overlap even if there is nothing > scheduled at that time on the timetable and the timetable is just been > created > I know...thats a bug alright...Luka will work on taht next week > 3- get an error advertisement when log in as admin: -the page is not showed > properly- > > hmmm.,...can u send me a screen shot of this? :-) adam > > all this both with windows 2000 and Mac 9.2.2 > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > Bringing you mounds of caffeinated joy > >>> http://thinkgeek.com/sf <<< > > _______________________________________________ > Openfc-development mailing list > Ope...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openfc-development > Adam Hyde XS4ALL Internet B.V. mobile : + (31) 06 2903 6248 Eekholt 42 1112 XH Diemen Amsterdam "free, as in 'radio'" |

Hi Chiara, Thats an Italian name. Parli Italiano? Anyhow, I'm in the process of making some more test-signal files. these will all be filed under the "test-signal" genre I should make one for each of these: real system test-signal_real28k.rm (20kbps) test-signal_real56k.rm (28kbps) test-signal_real64k.rm (40kbps) test-signal_real128k.rm (80kbps) test-signal_real200k.rm (300kbps) windows media test-signal_wm28k.wmv (20kbps) test-signal_win56k.wmv (28kbps) test-signal_win64k.wmv (40kbps) test-signal_win128k.wmv (80kbps) test-signal_win200k.wmv (300kbps) quicktime test-signal_qt28k.mov (20kbps) test-signal_qt56k.mov (28kbps) test-signal_qt64k.mov(40kbps) test-signal_qt128k.mov (80kbps) test-signal_qt200k.mov (300kbps) mp3 test-signal_mp28k.mp3 test-signal_mp56k.mp3 test-signal_mp64k.mp3 test-signal_mp128k.mp3 test-signal_mp200k.mp3 ogg vorbis test-signal_og28k.ogg test-signal_og56k.ogg test-signal_og64k.ogg test-signal_og128k.ogg test-signal_og200k.ogg Anybody know if I can encode .ogg files with Cleaner 5? I've never encoded .ogg files... if thats what they are called.. Some files will have to have an audio only version.... Anyhow I think it would be useful to have these test files rather than just blank references. Also might be good to make some of these files a specific lenght, so as to check timing.. 1 minute 15 minutes 1 hour 3 hours 6 hours This begs the question... When adding a program to the frequency clock db, and I am asked to select a "bitrate" from the dropdown menu... is there are there any guidelines as to what the maximum for 28k, 56k, 64k bitrate means? 28k on the dropdown menu is NOT the same as 28kbps file (which would be 56k on the dropdown...) Cause the bitrate dropdown is asking what the minimum connection to view the file is , not the actual bitrate of the file.... Q/ Will the frequency clock db be able to accommodate hundredths of seconds for very precise scheduling... at some later date... (quicktime has hundredths of seconds in timecode) 00.00.00.00 00.01.59.99 is almost 2 minutes long.... I ask this because real often makes files which use tenths of seconds long. (for example test-signal_real56k.rm is 5.1 seconds long...) due to the codec. Actually I think it does thousandths of second, which can be noted when editing a file with realeditor... I'll be over to the FC HQ later today. gio At 18:21 2002-06-19, you wrote: >hello, >I have some problems when scheduling with a loop: it is always saying my >event wants to overlap...but when I schedule at the same time without asking >to loop it works.. > > >---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Bringing you mounds of caffeinated joy > >>> http://thinkgeek.com/sf <<< > >_______________________________________________ >Openfc-development mailing list >Ope...@li... >https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openfc-development -------------------------------------------------- Giovanni D'Angelo e. <mailto:gi...@sp...> m.+44 [0]7932 727528 --------------------------------------------------- |

the only trick with ogg is that we havent built support into the player for this yet so i can say now it wont work.... its actually a bit tricky to get it to work in the player because on windows and mac no plugin for IE/mozilla/netscape supports Ogg yet however there is a way to do it with Java...yeeeesh....i will try building in support for it later today but dont be surprised if the player doesnt work for a while with Ogg adam On Wed, 19 Jun 2002, Luka Princic wrote: > gio wrote: > > ogg vorbis > > test-signal_og28k.ogg > > test-signal_og56k.ogg > > test-signal_og64k.ogg > > test-signal_og128k.ogg > > test-signal_og200k.ogg> Anybody know if I can encode .ogg files with Cleaner 5? > > I've never encoded .ogg files... if thats what they are called.. > > they're exactly like mp3s. you can use nice tool > called oggdrop: http://www.vorbis.com/download_win.psp > > ll. > > -- > > - > nova at skylined dot org - > ----------------------------------------------+ > The universe is made up of stories, not atoms. > > > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Bringing you mounds of caffeinated joy > >>> http://thinkgeek.com/sf <<< > > _______________________________________________ > Openfc-development mailing list > Ope...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openfc-development > Adam Hyde XS4ALL Internet B.V. mobile : + (31) 06 2903 6248 Eekholt 42 1112 XH Diemen Amsterdam "free, as in 'radio'" |

Chiara wrote: > hello, > I have some problems when scheduling with a loop: it is always saying my > event wants to overlap...but when I schedule at the same time without asking > to loop it works.. more: it should be noted (at least on cvs version) that after my today's work i managed to rewrite some of the routines that layout the tables so that it should be rocksolid. however, this is true only for normal (non-looped) and non-overlapping-into-next-day events. so, all looped events and those who overlap into the next day will appear unexpectably out of expectations :)) please bear with it untill next week when i'll be able to further fix that. keep in mind, that this new routine should never again cause problems with _exact_ positions of events on the table, as it calculates events second-accurate. if you don't understand think about how to represent 684000 seconds inside 480 pixels :)) not a trivial thing :)) love, luka -- - nova at skylined dot org - ----------------------------------------------+ The universe is made up of stories, not atoms. |
