I made a few notes during our demo today, and though I should summarize
them here, and mention progress so far.
o We should compile an icon into openev, so it can be easily put on
the desktop on Windows.
ACTION: None, do we build this into the gvmodule.dll? In our
case there is no .exe file so I am not sure we can actually
do something about this.
o Reseting the opacity to 1.0 in the raster properties panel didn't seem
to have an immediate effect.
ACTION: Fixed. Now gvrasterlayer.c always "sets" the fragment color,
even if the texture mode is no longer modulate. This is needed
since the blend mode is left set on and can't be safely cleared
as it might also be set by the RGBA "alpha" band.
o Bringing up the edit toolbar, closing and reopening causes a black dialog.
ACTION: Fixed. The widget was being destroyed, but the python object lived
on. I added a delete-event callback which closes the window but
avoids it's destruction so a later show() works properly.
o Add the ability to add and remove vector shapes to/from the selection in
select mode with control-left as is common in most applications.
ACTION: Deferring. It turns out cntl-left is already zoom in regardless
of the mode, so we can't easily accomplish this.
o Point query layer doesn't report coordinates when just over a vector layer.
ACTION: Pending. I wasn't able to reproduce this on Unix. I will try
again on Windows.
o track tool, and point query layer coordinates are sometimes reported in
eastings and northings when it would be more appropriate to report in
pixels and lines (or row and column).
ACTION: Created a formal bug report. However, this is hard to fix as we
can't easily tell the difference between georeferenced views that
lack a proper projection definition and views in pixel/line
I am also still looking at unreasonable memory consumption behaviour as
demonstrated by Peter after the demo.
