Folks, I have added some preliminary support for a new GvShape type called GvCollectionShape (with type GVSHAPE_COLLECTION). It basically is a collection of sub-GvShapes and is intended to be a representation of the OpenGIS GeometryCollection, MultiPoint, and MultiLineString geometry types. Note that MultiPolygon is already mapped to our Area since it supports multiple islands already. The GvCollectionShape can also be used for geometryless features when it has no sub-shapes. In theory this is possible with lines and areas to, but it isn't necessarily safe for them. Some partial work has been done to render GvCollectionShapes (basically by iterating over the component shapes and rendering them) but this work is quite incomplete and these types of shapes don't always render properly. Also, there are currently no python bindings for some of the special methods on this shape type.
