Since the last couple of updates, we are having problem with prices on the fee sheet.
For example: Our strep screen is 26 dollars. When I look under administration -> Services, the price is in the description of the service, but when that code is brought up in the fee sheet the price is not there and has to be manually put in.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?
How can I fix it?
Thank you for your help.

Tested this on a new install (4.1.2, but no differences in this in 4.1.1). In administration-services, for the item, what is the TYPE (is is CPT4 for example), have you placed the price in the 'Fees:' textbox, and do you have the Standard category there in fees or others?
This started happening when I added drop down boxes to the fee sheet.
I went to Administration -> List -> Edit List -> Fee Sheet and added custom ICD-9 and Procedures codes.
The cpt codes are correctly filled out under administration-services and include the price and description.
Another problem associated with this is that the description does not show up on the fee sheet either.
Yes, this has to do with the custom drop down boxes I created. If I manually put in the cpt code, from the fee sheet directly, 87880 for example, is a strep screen, the price and description show up, but if I use my custom procedures drop down box to add the test the price is missing.
The drop down boxes are also not pulling over the modifiers.
Does it work if you delete (click X) and then re-add the code via 'Add' in the lists editor?
No it did not.
I have a couple of more weird findings in this matter.
1. one code, TSH, pulls over everything including price- so the behavior is not consistent.
2. when the fee sheet is saved and reopened the description is there but not the price.
Still unable to reproduce this. Can you reproduce this bug on one of the online demos (and give me the steps to do it)?
I tried this site: OpenEMR 4.1.0 Main Demo Link: http://opensourceemr.com:2100/openemr/ but it does not have cpt4 codes.
I did add a few but it would not add the cpt code under admin->List->Fee sheet.
You can see the fee sheet has the procedure drop down box but when you click the test nothing works because it cannot be added under at admin->List->Fee sheet.
Try it on the OpenEMR 4.1.1 demos instead(there is a huge difference in how codes are handled in 4.1.0 and 4.1.1). There are two:
1. Original 4.1.1 with sample patient data in it:
2. 4.1.1 demo with most recent patch (no sample patient data in it):
If you're curious, here's where links to all the demos are:
(regarding CPT codes, these are copyright/licensed/sold by AMA, so unable to include them in package)
We had the same issue with our codes because we used modifiers.
In order for the Fee Sheet List to pull the proper data from the Services List (Admin>Services), we had to manually add the modifiers to the CPT codes in the database under "fee_sheet_options" after setting up what we needed to the Fee Sheet List.
So for instance, CPT4|XXXX| had to be changed to: CPT4|XXXX:YY| (where X's are the code and Y's are the modifier).
You may already have found an answer, but here it is in any case.
I crossed the same problem you were mentioned in fee sheet "Multiple Modifiers with CPT code"
Not sure what version i had faced this issue..But i Fixed in my version of OpenEMR..
It needs a simple fix here..
Please let me know.
Thanks for your fix. After adding the modifier after the cpt code in the database, the modifier, price and description, all showed up. Cool. I don't know how or why, but it worked. Thanks again.

Hi Jeff and DN,
I am having a similar problem with my installation of 4.1.1 (10). The modifiers are not showing and the Prices are not showing. I was reading and could you post the simple fix that is being referred to?
I followed the instruction of DN above. I know of no other fix.
