Merry christmas to all of you despite a little late^-^,I have used OpenEMR for some time，I can upload CCD/CCR into it,and move it to a particular patient,however，what I really want is our system could creat a new patient based on this CCD/CCR,and import his imformation automatically,so we don't need creat this patient by manual,have anybody realized this function?I need your help! Many thanks!

I have the same problem. Who is willing to share his good idea for us? How the OpenEMR can automatically get the patient's information from the uploaded CCD file, and then add the new patient to the OpenEMR? Many thanks!

I just realized that the import module is non-functional with version 4.1.2 (3) & greater because here in the U.S. we are still working on Meaningful Use Stage 2.
It did work in 4.1.2 (1), but not well. See this thread.
We expect a new release in January 2016, but it is unclear if the import function will be restored in that release. See this. If not, it will be accomplished some time in the future.
If import is an absolute necessity at this moment, I would suggest that you install 4.1.2 from this webpage & do not patch it.

I followed the instructions and went back to 4.1.2 and tried it but the feature still did not work.
