Hello Franz, I didn't try this device. Concearning the baxter experiment, I've get a try by the past with a ceap lie detector fond on an electronic shop. The interface with the PC was with the Arduino board and the processing software was Pure Data. The problem was always the noise occuring when plugging the system on the power lines, recharging the battery. Variations of the biological currents were more accurated using a battery powered laptop. But sometimes you'll need to experiment during long times. I get some interesting results, and even a weird plant influence on a random number generator, accidentally put in stressful situation. Also plants are acting like antennas, like us, and numerous electromagnetic events from electrosmog and natural ionospheric activty are detected, flowing directly through the body. Now I would like more to explore an optical system/interface way, for a complete isolation with the laptop or the PC. You can try with the OpenEeg device. The most important there are the shielded electrodes. And for the ebay device, I don't know. Maybe you should give a test on the primary perception of plants, with this device too. Subject: [Openeeg-list] a simple EEG device I am new to this subject and have 2 questions: I am interested not only to EEG, but also to try to repeat and possibly develop the experiments that Cleve Backster made with plants, see: http://primaryperception.com/ Backster found that plants gave some sort of electrical response to the feelings and intents of the people close to them. Originally Backster connected a polygraph to a leaf of a plant and just thinking to try to burn a leaf, originated a strong electrical response from the plant, without actually burning anything. So the first question is if you have any idea if the openeeg project would be suitable to take the electrical signals of plants too. The second question is about this ebay offer http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290446393678&_trksid=p2759.l1259 I understand that openeeg project is isolated and the ebay offer is not, but they suggest it would be enough to use it with a laptop running on batteries, so that would be acceptable. Also it seems very small lightweight and running just on USB power and this seems practical for a portable use, particularly for plants. For me it is much more difficult to appreciate the quality of the device. Does anybody tried it? Or perhaps someone may understand something just looking at the photos and the description? Many thanks for the attention Best Franz _________________________________________________________________ Installez gratuitement les nouvelles Emoch'ticones ! http://www.ilovemessenger.fr/emoticones/telecharger-emoticones-emochticones.aspx |
