OpenDeadlock is highly moddable.
Usually I point about logic modding support that allows anyone to change units, buildings, modifiers and so on.
After a few months working on the graphics interface, we are ready to announce that OpenDeadlock clients also support modding for its GUI.
This format is called ODLM (OpenDeadlock Media).
With ODLM files, users are able create themes that are loaded right then the application is started.
In these themes, you can change the colours/colors (used as synonyms after requests), pictures, icons, cursors, sound files and video files.... read more
Everytime we need some special collaboration, we start a Crowdsourcing request.
These requests are free and open for all. Anyone can join and collaborate!
There are several easy things that can make the difference for us.
If you didn't know how to help but want to, please check these requests!
The latest crowdsourcing requests are listed below (as comments).
As OpenDeadlock is now entering Alpha, we are running a contest for the most adequate introductory map.
While OpenDeadlock supports world generation, we have decided that it is the best for everyone to have a few standard maps during testing.
The winner maps will be selected to be bundled with OpenDeadlock during Alpha (and perhaps other releases). They could also be used for playing tutorials.
Players will have the opportunity to test OpenDeadlock on the world you have created!... read more
OpenDeadlock Alpha has reached alpha state and we already have a few alpha testers.
Our primary goal is to confirm whether the planned targets are supported.
Therefore, alpha testers are receiving builds to check their host systems.
More builds to come soon.
OpenDeadlock (project registration date) is now three years old.
I still have more news to share. We had updates for both decoding and coding subprojects.
Test releases are coming up soon as well.
Thanks for following us!
Today we have moved to Pre-alpha state. Stay tuned if you would like to join the alpha testing.
Thanks for your support.
We are still kicking!
I know some are hungry for news, don't worry, good thing will come up soon.
As soon as we solve some deadlocks... Just kidding!
In case you frown upon looking at that planning tag next to project name, this won't be for long.
We have a milestone set to evolve to the next level: Pre-alpha.
It might not be much for someone outside the project, but we are really happy about it.
Opendeadlock (project registration date) is now one year old.
Thanks to every member, contributor and whoever is reading this: you have helped this project to stay active for twelve months.
We have had progress and there are still several things to be done.
Remember: you can still help OpenDeadlock!
Thank you!
We have recently learned that one of our blog posts got featured as one of sourceforge's tweets.
I have do idea why some people have set to like it, but thank you anyway.
This is the main blog for the project as a whole.
It should include news related to milestones and other details that define the OpenDeadlock as a whole. All developers are invited to post here.
Remember to keep the news that are only related to the decoding project in its specific blog.
