#68 Checkout forces dual pane

I noticed that when you checkout a document, it forces the document into the dual pane view and there is nothing on the right side. I imagine this is just because we usually have something show up on the right side for our actions, so we probably just use one listener for all the actions. Either we should make use of that...or it would be nice for it to not do that. No functionality is buggy, just kind of odd
