Hi all, This is the only way I could find to reach someone with this project (which I just read about on slashdot). Has anyone considered/tried going to hardware vendors and getting them to bundle the software on your CD with new machines? They would be able to add value without incurring licensing fees, giving them a competitive advantage. It would also be a great way to get your CD out to the mainstream. It's been a while since I paid the M$ tax on a new machine, but when I bought my Toshiba laptop four years ago it did not come with any kind of productivity suite. Are there still vendors who do this? I would suggest the following: -Approach any vendors who may still be selling machines without a productivity suite. -Approach your friendly neighborhood "screwdriver" shop. -Approach walmart.com. They seem more open to this sort of thing than other larger vendors.
