#875 Lock screen support
On a Samsung phone, the lock screen allows to choose an app to use without unlocking. Apps of use in a emergency or dangerous situations (the built-in phone dialer, sound recorder, camera app, and others) can be used without the risk of losing physical possession of the unlocked device.
Third-party apps can support this, by providing a "lock screen activity". Otherwise the app always needs unlocking, even if started with the lock screen shortcut. It would be nice if Open Camera supported this.

Open Camera supports running above the lock screen (Settings/More Camera Controls/"Show camera when locked"), however I believe Samsung phones only allow the built-in stock applications to run from the lock screen without being unlocked. If I'm wrong, do you have a link please for the "lock screen activity"?
You're right, it does not work with that option enabled and also for other apps I tried (audio recorders, etc). I think I may have to search how to change the home/lock screen app. Sorry for the noise.
It worked for me until last updating to the version of opencamera
Sorry works also with lastest Version when Option is
