Timing of Flash triggering causes nearly black photos
Camera app for Android.

have started using a Galaxy S10 plus. My previous phone was a Motorola droid razor. There is a problem with the Flash in this new phone. It doesn't seem to trigger correctly, and result is a nearly black photo.
The Samsung camera app does not have this problem. My droid razor also did not have this problem. I am copying my specifications of the phone below

Same problem on pixel 4, picture is taken only after the flash.
Same issue here. Using Graphene OS with Google Pixel4a. All photos in dark light with using the flash turn out black.
SOLUTION
I am the Graphene OS user from upper post. Had issues with black pictures while using the flash. Activated Settings/Photo settings/"Use alternative flash method" (towards the bottom) and problem is solved! Thank you!
Alt flash method worked for me. I had to turn on API2 to see that option.
