Shutter button does not react when on a large side
Camera app for Android.

Presumably since a recent update, the blue shutter button sometimes goes on the large side of the screen, as seen in the attached screenshot.
Problem: Whenever the button is at that place, it is useless: touching the button has no effect, no sound is emitted, no picture appear in the filesystem.
To fix the problem, everytime I have to press Back, unlock my screen, and launch the app from its launcher icon.
This problem happens often when taking a picture then pressing the on/off button to lock the screen (to save battery), then pressing the on/off button again a bit later when I want to take another picture.
My phone is Nexus 5 with LineageOS Android 7.1.2

This also seems to be a device specific bug. It looks like Open Camera UI is being laid out in portrait mode for some reason, when it sets the flags to run in landscape mode.
