No

A mode where as little information (metadata) as possible is stored with(in) the picture. So no EXIF, IPTC or XMP information, no GPS, no camera/phone make & model information, etc...
Off course solutions like http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/image-privacy-remove-metadata-from-photos/ exist, but it would make things a lot easier if the metadata wouldn't be stored in the first place.

A Privacy-toggle would be awesome!
Untoggled (default): Metadata stored as set by the user. As it is now.
Toggled: No metadata at all is stored.

This way a user could switch quickly between 'normal' mode and 'privacy' mode, without having to change the setting of each individual metadata-item every time.

This would be an interesting feature!

Seconded. It would be nice to have location dat on some things, like when I might upload it to Wikipedia, and the rest have the private mode.

I think we should stick to the first feature mentioned in this ticket and wait for Mark giving the green light until we discuss something new. However, with this first feature mentioned, I don't think this second feature is really needed.

I only installed this app because I was hoping for something like this, I hope it's implemented soon! Keep up the good work!

This sounds a good idea, I've added it to my todo.

Just to say still on my todo (has kept being bumped by other things I'm afraid).

Hello Mark, I know you have many things to do but I think this would be an important feature to have. This is in my opinion the best camera app I found and if it had this feature it would provide many people an easy way to maintain their privacy. Just hope this would be implemented soon. Thank you for your amazing work!

Hello, I also think that'd be great and very needed feature, it's pretty hard to find a good metadata removal app on Android, and also having it built-in in app would be a lot better than instaling yet another app.

Hello, I'm currently working on this feature. I hope to get back with a merge request soon enough.

Next version will have new option Settings/Photo settings/"Remove device EXIF data" to remove exif tags from JPEG photos. There will also be the option on whether to remove or preserve tags related to date/time.

Separate Open Camera settings (like location, artist, etc) will be independent (i.e., if enabled they'll still add those exif tags).
