Hi,
I can record 4K video at 60FPS if the exposures are set to automatic. The automatic exposure can be influenced to some extent by adjusting the EV. When set to manual, no matter what exposure times and ISO values are set the framerate is always capped at 30FPS. I wonder why that is...
Up until recently I thought that was just some quirk with my Motorola G100, but recently I got a Redmagic 11 Pro and I can reproduce the same issue. I know that this is still very much experimental, it could be that both devices share the same core issues, but I wonder if there is some improvement that could be made here.
As a note, both devices seem to feel comfortable with exposure times of 1/100s when automatic exposure is turned on. At challenging lighting conditions the G100 doesn't go beyond 1/60s but then caps to 59.6FPS while the 11 Pro doesn't go beyond exactly 1/61s while maintaining 60FPS.
At last, I would wish if you could look at implementing audio encoding settings, because fixed AAC at 96kbit/s doesn't sound great under complex circumstances. Having FLAC would be a godsend for post production.
Thanks!
