Hi, I run version 1.55 on my Fairphone 2 (Fairphone Open OS, AOSP 10.23). According to F-Droid this is the latest version?
The battery power indicator is a little bit hard to see, especially when there is vivid scenery being photographed or filmed.
Therefore I propose a couple of (tiny) improvements:
a) introduce level markings by thin white lines superimposed on the bar graph at 0, 20, 40 - up to 100%. (or in steps of 25). With this levels can be estimated by the user without numbers.
b) change colors in the fashion of the LED indicator that many phones have. Those are green only above 95%, below they turn more and more yellow and then red. At 20 or 25% they are fully red. Below 10% it would be a good idea if they blink.
c) surround the indicator in black or white by a few pixels
d) below 10% also a text in the middle of the display could be useful, like "low bat" or something.
e) on the bargraph mark the level at with Open Camera will shut off video recordíng (btw,, this level could be user adjustable). As batteries age, their discharge curve steepens, so on older battery shutting off earlier is advisable.
Alternatively numbers could be shown instead of the bargraph.
