Hello! I have been loving OC as the Pixel 8 oversharpens and in your app I could turn that off. For about a week the app was working, then suddenly stopped. Since then I've tried it all--restarting phone with app still installed; uninstalling and reinstalling app; uninstalling, reinstalling, and rebooting phone; etc. Still the same black screen in the VF area. A few of the controls are visible, but no image. The app has "gone blind" as far as what I am trying to shoot.
I hope the Pixel 8 isn't making it harder for third-party apps. I do have some other camera apps that are still working. Although one of them is giving me the same black screen when I go into manual mode, and it too had been working before just fine. Hence my worry about whether it's the 8.
Thank you!

Hi, I'm the OP and I'm updating this. The app is not always black screen in Pixel 8. Sometimes it does show and image in the viewfinder. But two things are still going wrong. One, as reported before, as soon as you hit Manual, the screen goes black. The other is, I tried as a workaround, instead of manual, choosing from the list of discrete light options--Twilight, Cloudy, Daylight etc. The change appears in the viewfinder, but when you take the photo, the correctly colored scene is not saved. I tried several settings that gave me very different looks in the viewfinder and they saved looking just the same as each other.
BTW, Pixtica's manual white balance broke for the Pixel 8 around the same time, so I guess Google caused it. But I'm not sure if they caused it by doing something by mistake or caused it by doing something they meant to do and won't back down on . . . hoping Mark will comment and share what he thinks is happening. It must be a huge task.
