Play Store appears to require a login to install this. [Nexus 7, stock Android 4.4.2]

Also, searching on Play Store for open camera or opencamera does not work - I typed your URL into firefox to locate the app in Play Store.

Google Play requires a login to a Google account, but this is required for any app. Are you able to download any apps from Google Play?

If you don't have access to Google Play, you can instead install Open Camera via F Droid ( https://f-droid.org/ ), on install the APK directly from Sourceforge (see https://sourceforge.net/projects/opencamera/files/ ).

https://play.google.com/store/search?q=open%20camera and https://play.google.com/store/search?q=opencamera both display Open Camera as the first result for me (I tested in Firefox), so I don't know why you're not seeing it.
