is there a way to rename a photo filename the moment after it's taken? is there file rename dialog? can one be added? I'm not taking about the endless options for pre-formating,prefixing/suffixing. i want a file dialog i can edit.

Yes there is, only two taps away. Immediately after any frame taken, tap the gallery icon/button and then the Rename button in it.
