Photo looks okay in preview and for a split-second after shooting, but then some smudgification filter is applied that makes the photo unusable

This happens on both a 1.52? 1.51? and freshly-updated 1.53.1 version of OpenCamera. This happens regardless of the API (default and Camera2).

I'm attaching screen recordings and photos that show this, and that this isn't innate to to my phone (Fairphone 4 with LineageOS 21).

Photos with filenames "2024-07..." are from the LineageOS Camera program.
Photos with filenames "IMG_202407..." are from OpenCamera.

The first video shows my older version of OpenCamera, the second the LineageOS Camera program, the third OpenCamera 1.53.1.
These illustrate the issue quite clearly to me.

The only thing that changed between my older version and 1.53.1 is that in the older version, opencamera would show an unbroken version of the image for a bit, before smudging it. 1.53.1 seems to only show the smudged version.

I don't think I have anything weird set, but inlining config below.
