I installed Open Camera to add Auto Stabilization for video recording on my Lenovo Tab 4 Plus 8. However the option for Video Stabilization is not available in Video Settings.
I had understood that Open Camera is able to add Video A/S to all Android devices, even when A/S is not available through the stock camera app.
Is Video Auto Stabilization still available in Open Camera?
Will it only work when it is already available in the stock camera app?
Is Open Camera able to detect if the harware is able to perform Auto Stabilization?
Must I conclude that my hardware is unable to perform Auto Stabilization? This is hard to understand, as the Tab 4 Plus has a decent midrange processor and an 8 MP camera sensor.
Thanks
Bernard

Not all devices support video stabilization I'm afraid - the option will show if it is supported.
Also try Settings/"Use Camera2 API" if it's supported by your device (on "old" Camera API, video stabilization is only supported on some devices; on Camera2 API, video stabilization is available on all devices, but not all devices support Camera2 API).
