Recently I make shoot to a shopping mall and find that the exposure time found later is very slow: 1/20 or 1/25. As a result, the picture is very dissatisfied. In particular if you shoot at night, you will get "ghost" images. So I want to know if there is any way to force the shutter speed as fast as at least 1/125 etc?
Also, there is a problem when shooting at night without using the flash. You see the preview finished capture the image, but clearly it is not yet saved and you will be moving the camera since it "is" done.
I am using a copy of the source code dated back to Dec 2015, so I am not clear if there is updated so far and I may try the latest copy later.

Hi Mark!
I have tried the latest apk of Open Camera and I found the images still are having exposure time as low as 1/20. So is that important? Is there any way to make it as fast as at least 1/125 and above, in particular in shooting at night?
Also, I would request that the preview image (the animated image) should take the image as shooted or after the image is shooted. Sometimes I note that I get a good animated preview when shoot and I move the camera, as a result, the shooted image is blurred, especially at night time or indoor.
thanks

If you're in ISO auto mode (the default), then the exposure time is decided by the camera driver, so I'm not sure why this isn't working. How do other third party camera applications work?
Or if you are using Camera2 (Settings/"Use Camera2 API" - only available on some devices), you can try switcing to manual, then changing the shutter speed manually.

Hi Mark! first... thank so much for your tough work! Obviously, count on my contribution!
quick question... I have Open Camera v1.36.2 (from Play Store), and I "know" I can set manually the ISO and shutter speed (basically, using the google standard app, and it seems to work), and I can also focus based on distance (even with a slide bar, I have tested using a different app)... so I guess I can use Camera2. But I can't find the option in Open Camera settings ¿? Any idea? I would be really interested in being able to control the shutter manually (I am using a BQ Aquaris M5, Android 6.0.1)
Thanks again!

mmm... bit weird... I have used "Camera2 Probe" app, to check about the API, and it is Camera, not Camera2. But, how can some apps be able to set shutter manually, or create a slide bar for focusing? I'd love Open Camera to allow manual shutter :-)))
Thanks anyway!
