Hi. The Zoom (3rd camera) is not working on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
5G, Model: SM-G990B/DS, Serial: RFCT505M39E. Android v. 13, One UI v. 5.0).
I think it should be: Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm).
There is 3 rear cameras:normal, wide and zoom. Normal works (back camera ID
0), wide works (back camera ID 2). Zoom camera does not work.
There is 1 front camera. Open camera sees it as 2 different front cameras,
ID 1 with full view and ID 2 with a tiny bit of digital zoom.
Tried both camera API:s and same situation.
I noticed also another bug. Open camera overrides display brightness
setting and puts it to 100%. Is there some way to disable this behaviour or
is it also a bug...?
Hi, I have the same problem with the telelens of my samsung s21 fe (SM-G990B2/DS, snapdragon 888).
The main rear camera is in use with a digital zoom from 1 to 8, so i guess ultrawide and optical zoom are not used. Same for video and photo. The native camera app allows a zooming from 0.5 (ultrawide) to x 30 (x10 digital zoom on the x3 telelens) in photo mode, and 0.5 to x12 (x4 digital zoom on the x3 telelens) in video mode.
So I to post the info of the camera, hoping maybe a solution to be find.
Best regards

The S21 FE only allows third party applications to access the ultra-wide camera by switching to it explicitly (which Open Camera supports), and not by zooming out.
The S21 FE's max zoom for third party applications is 8x.
The S23 at least supports a zoom of [0.6 10], so zooming out to ultra-wide works there. Not sure if it'll switch to telephoto lens when zooming in.

Hi Mark. Thanks for your answer. Yes, i found how to switch main camera/ultra wide. Both have a 8x digital zoom. It seems that things will be more difficult for 3rd part cam, Gcam developers don't have more success. Best regards.

I'm having the same issue as others, but I see there have been no responses since January (it's now July). Is this app no longer being supported?

Make sure Settings/"Camera API" is set to "Camera2 API" - and then can you post the info from Settings/About please?
For brightness, see Settings/Onscreen GUI/"Force maximum brightness".
