Voice control, both "Loud noise" and "Cheese", doesn't work

Hi,
Voice control, both "Loud noise" and "Cheese", doesn't work on my two devices LG G2 - D802, on android 4.4.2 and LG Optimus L7 II, on android 4.1.2.
When I say Cheese the app does nothing. On the other hand, when I enable Loud noise "mode", the app imediately start shooting photos continuously, one after another without me making any noise, untill I reset the app.
I played with the settings, sensitivity,... but nothing changed.

For some reason it seems that you have to press the little microphone button on the screen to set the app to start listening for the word "Cheese". Kind of defeats the object of a voice command.
