Locked focus (padlock icon) is available from the popup-menu. I don't know if that's the same thing though - this tells the camera not to focus. It's not available while recording video (I could change that if desired), but I don't know if switching to that mode in video mode before recording i what you're after? Or do you mean something else?

The focus lock is located when your in video screen (open open camera app and select video)...tap the flash icon at the top with the 3 dots, and there is a lock...it is the auto focus lock..press it. From the main screen you can lock exposure as well :)

Bump, Setting the focus to the locked symbol and locking the white balance and exposure still doesn't lock the focus. I'm sitting here aiming the camera at my keyboard and focusing on it so it clear then pointing it at my coffee mug (about 6 inch's away) for about 5 seconds and then pointing it back at my keyboard.
Every single time the keyboard is out of focus when point the camera back at it. Non of the options in that menu have changed this.

With the stock camera app, in video mode, i can hold the screen and lock the focus. Can i do this somehow with Open Camera?

Hi mark
The padlock only lock exposure, not the focus. It would be nice to be able to lock the focus aswell.
