This would require a new menu option in the "On screen GUI" section, labeled "On scree EXIF Image Description"
If the user enables the option
The main screen will now show an icon [EXIF]
The user can click on the [EXIF] button to edit the text on the fly as pictures are taken
This is not meant to tag make a unique "Image Description" to each picture, the feature is meant to label specific events.
If the user has not enter text using the EXIF button the button will be dim,
If the user has enter text using the EXIF button the button should be bright also maybe have the actual text show up on screen.
Hope proposal gets some discussion.
Thanks

I'm really interested in this. To edit the keyword (tag) or description immediately after taking each photo would be a great feature. Some apps I found that do this (seemingly) are F-Stop Gallery by Seelye Engineering or Let's Tag It by Rnt

the code i posted let the user set the tag before taking picture(s) , the idea is you set te tag as you start and leve it until you finish, so that all the pictures of one event get taged.

I would also like the ability to add a general description text to all my photos (since lightroom can't tell the difference between photos taken on my two Pixels) as well as copyright, etc

Being able to add an EXIF description would be nice, also I think it would nice to be able to set a default copyright note and creator info (artist tag I think). And thank you for such a great FOSS app!

Thanks for the ideas, it's on my todo. Adding default values for various tags should be easier so I'll try to get that done first at least.
