Since a few days while recording videos the sound is not recorded anymore. The audio level indicator does not react while recording, and it ends up in a silent movie. Recently it was all fine, and I did not change anything. Checking the files on the pc confirms that there is no audio.
The stock camera app works as usual on video sound, and doing phone calls is no problem, so it can not be a hardware issue.
I tried -uninstall -restart -reinstall, but still the same.
Permission for microphone is set, and the 'record audio' option in the app is on.
Any ideas?

I actually have the same problem after upgrading my Redmi Note 7 to MIUI 11.0.1.0. Although I only noticed this behavor wiht unprocessed audio which is the mnain reason I use Open Camera.

Meanwhile I found the reason for the issue. Audio source has to be set to 'standard' instead of 'unprocessed'. Whatever this is good for.

The main problem on Xiaomi devices is that recording on loud environments (a music show for example) always clips when recording with "Standard" audio source, while using "Unprocessed audio" mitigates this issue

True. There is no clipping with 'unprocessed', because it does not record any signal...

I have this same issue on a pixel 2 running lineage 17.1. switching the audio source does not help me unfortunately. choosing default, unprocessed, etc makes no difference. audio doesnt work on the standard cam, however on the selfie cam audio works fine.

Open Camera does record audio on my Xiaomi, Nokia, Motorola, and HTC devices perfectly.

I'm a bedroom guitarist. I'm making a guitar tutorial using open camera. The apps used to work fine, but after updating the Samsung A54, the open camera no longer records the backing track audio. How can I fix that?
