If i set the UI Placement for Open Camera to be "Along top (portrait mode)" so that the buttons appear at the top of the screen (phone held in portrait orientation). However, the button for 'Manual Exposure Compensation' is in the middle of the 5 buttons shown and right underneath the cut-out for the selfie camera lense on my Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. Can the UI Placement not shift the buttons down so they're not placed underneath the physical selfie camera cutout?

Can you post a screenshot please? Open Camera does have code to detect cutout/notches, although maybe it isn't working right on some devices.
Here's what I've seen on my device, Samsung Galaxy F52 5G. The status bar is all black.
I see Binary Eye have even better implementation for this.
