Hello there!
Because of some problems with one of my Android devices, the application used to disrupted during the record. This ends up having a video named something like .pending-1668021246-VID_20221102_201406.mp4.
This this is not useable, I even tried mp4fixer (https://github.com/bookkojot/mp4fixer) but that ended up having many artifacts.
So what would be the way to restore the pending video file?
Is the header missing or something?

I've tried a fork of untrunc and mp4fixer as well.
Untrunc was able to somewhat restore the file, but the sound and movie became unsynchronized after a while. Mp4fixer made an output with full of artifacts.

FYI, I was able to fully restore a pending file with anthwlock's untrunc.
How to do it? can u explain.
Same problem, showed me an error of zero length video...
my file has a pending prefix and sized 0 kb, this bug is so frustrating, unable to restore the video at all.
You should have a try with all three tools
