When I record 1080p videos on my Samsung Galaxy S3 with Open Camera, video and audio get out of sync. I don't have this issue when I record 1080p videos with the native camera app. And I don't have this issue neither when I record 720p videos with Open Camera.
The only setting I have changed in Open Camera is the bitrate to 7 Mbps. The default bitrate setting that I can't change with the native app is 17 Mbs and this produces too huge files.
What can I do to record 1080p videos with Open Camera on my smartphone ?
Thank you very much for your help !

Update : When I set FPS to 15 (default is 30), there is no desynchronisation with 1080p videos!
So the native app can record 1080p videos with 30 fps without desynchronisation, but Open Camera needs a lower fps ?

Hi,
I only record on my phone memory.
When I lower the bitrate to 5 Mbps, there is no desynchronisation with 1080p videos. It seems that open camera is too slow on my smartphone to record with 30 fps/ 7 Mbs on 1080p. How can I speed up open camera ?
Thank you!

I am the anon poster just above. I think I found the solution to this. Open Camera is expecting the audio at 48KHz, and I had been connecting my Zoom recorder at 44.1KHz.
I seldom record voices so hadn't noticed some chimpmunking on the audio in the past, but last night I had a eureka! moment, connected at 48KHz, and have perfect sync. I hope this helps other.

I have same issue until now. But a bit different. If I record using eksternal microphone, audio will get out of sync when played on computer. But if I record using internal mic, there is no problem even when I play it on my computer.

I see it depends on the sample rate is being recorded on the samsung. Open Camera supports only 44.1 khz, if you microphone has a higher sample rate, you will experience that behavior.
