Moto G4 Play running LineageOS with Open Camera as the default Camera App.
Yesterday I hit the "on" button and from the lock-screen launched the camera without unlocking the phone. All good.
I put it in my shirt pocket forgetting to shut down the Camera and return to the lock-screen.
I didn't use the phone after that and about 10-hours later my shirt pocket got VERY hot and the phone vibrated.
I pulled the phone out and it would not turn on. Figured the battery was flat and plugged in the charger and it showed "0%" no surprises there.
So here's the thing, is Open Camera in charge of staying running until stopped by returning to the lock-screen? If so, it needs to check battery level before it gets that low.
Or is it LineageOS that is in control of that? It seems that when the camera is active it remains active long past the LineageOS screen turn off time. From that I am guessing Open Camera is holding it open and should be more mindfull of the battery level.
Thoughts?

Open Camera keeps the screen on when running (similar to other applications like video, games and some cameras).
This can be disabled if you prefer under Settings/On screen GUI/"Keep display on".
Ahh, OK, great. Thank You.
