bug - image cropped on lower resolutions

    I am using Open Camera v1.27 (version code 31) with the default settings (reset to defaults) on a Sony Xperia Z3 compact.

    When I take a picture with 1920x1080p, it is as expected (I am in WYSIWYG preview mode and what I see is what I get).

    On lower resolutions, what I see is /not/ what I get! For example, if I select 1280x720 resolution, rather than getting an image of what I see on my screen, scaled down to 1280x720 resolution, I get a cropped version of my viewport. Imagine you took the 1920x1080p image and cut out a rectangle of size 1280x720 in the middle - that's what image I get, despite my preview showing the 1920x1080p image. Does that make sense?

    I would expect to see the full preview area, sized down to 1280x720, rather than a 1280x720 cut-out of the preview area (which seems to be 1920x1080).

    Please let me know if there's some way I can fix this, as it makes it impossible to take images at lower resolutions as you can't see what you're going to get!

    This happens when Image Stabilization is enabled. Disable it and it shouldn't crop the pictures anymore.

      Hi Eric,

      Thanks! Turning the mode from 'HDR' to 'normal' fixed this. Isn't this still a bug though? I like the HDR mode because the pictures aren't very good with it turned off, and I don't know enough about photography to adjust the settings (exposure, white balance etc). HDR is a nice "dummy mode" for me :) Is there no way to get the lower-resolution images with HDR?
