I have an LG L33L Android 5.0.1 phone. Just installed Open Camera. It looks like a great app, because it brings user controls to the photo process.
I have read the instructions (well done), the FAQ, and searched this forum. There are three items that I cannot find information about.
When Open Camera is on, a Sync icon is added (and actuated) to the top right on my phone's drop down header bar. Why is Sync required with Open Camera? And if it is not necessary, is there a setting somewhere that I can disable it?
Among the ISO choices is 'ISO HJR'. What does HJR stand for?
Several folks on this forum attach a log file, which appears to be the settings, etc. of Open Camera. How is that log created, and where is it located? I assume I can access it with Explorer.
Thanks again for a great program,
Harry

I've no idea what the sync icon is or why it appears I'm afraid... possibly it's an OEM specific thing. Do you ever see the same icon appear at any other time?
Supposedly Hand Jitter Reduction ( http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/50107202 ). I don't know how well it works though - it's a device specific feature, not something that Open Camera does.
See Settings/About.

I checked before I posted. That Sync icon does not appear either when no apps are open or when any of the other apps I have are open. Since you don't know what it is, I assume I could turn it off without hurting Open Camera?
Interesting that this is specifc to my phone. There is nothing in my phone instructons that mention it. And thanks for the link.
I forgot to look there--shame on me. I just now tried to copy it to the Clipboard, but all that got me was to Google Play. I'll have to figure out where the Clipboard really is.

To be honest I'm not sure I can answer since I don't know what it is :) Can you post a screenshot?
As in clicking "Copy to clipboard" directs you to Google Play? It should just copy to the device's clipboard, and then in other apps (e.g., email, or notepad applications like Google Keep) you can paste the info.

See attachment. The top item (#1 in red circle) is what I see on the dropdown with Open Camera. The three small red arrows point to items only on Open Camera. The phone will not let me view this in anything other than the horizontal direction.
Item #2 is what I see with every other program I have installed, and also with the Camera program that came with my phone. I do NOT have Bluetooth enabled.
It's not related to OpenCamera.
Simply you can access more quick settings at once in landscape orientation because there is more horizontal space on the notification drawer.
I guess you can scroll through the quick settings horizontally in landscape mode to see the same icons.

Strange. If Open Camera is NOT open (item #2 on the attachment), there is no way to display that in the 'landscape' mode, and there is no scrollbar. So the extra three items in item #1 just do not appear on the quicksettings dropdown.
Another Android mystery, I guess.

Note that Open Camera forces the display to landscape, so you'd see the landscape version of system UIs however the device is held. Meanwhile, on Android phones, the homescreen always shows in the "portrait" view now matter how you hold it. When running apps that switch orientation, I would have thought you'd see the extra icons when holding the phone in landscape mode - if not, I'm not sure what it is.

Works fine. Have no idea what the problem was.
