I recently installed LineageOS 17.1 on my LG G7. I also installed open camera as my main camera app. Unfortunately, taking pictures most often doesn't work because the pictures cannot be saved. I selected my SD card as the saving location. When I take a picture, it takes the pictures and shows the taken picture in the bottom right corner, but when I click it my gallery app opens and it just shows all pictures in the album, but the new one isn't there. It's also not in the default internal folder. When I go back into the camera, the picture disappears in the bottom corner. When I go to the settings and re-select the location, it usually works, but only for a short while until I use the app the next time (usually a few days later). Closing and re-trying usually works, so I don't know what causes this issue.
Obviously, permission has been granted to the app. Any ideas what I could do?

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. Go for it, maybe it helps!

It am also interested in a solution for this bug of OpenCamera (or do we have to blame Android 10/LineageOS 17.1?).
I updated some Tickets and bundled these into one ticket #777 and hope to hear any improvement in next versions of Open Camera. Can anybody give feedback?
Also here in the forum there are several problems with this case. But no solution?

I have the same problem. I am using LineageOS 17.1 on Sony XZ1 Compact. The issue eactly the same as you describe.
I have tried to following,
Using other camera app works. For example, Simple Camera, which also use Storage Access Framework for SD card storage, works without problems.
Storing photos on internal storage is no problem.
If I use a file mamanger to go to SD card directory and rename the photo file, and then rename it back, it will show up in gallery again.
I tried different gallery app and get the same result.
I think this may be a bug in Simple Camera or LineageOS. Should I file a ticket for this?
I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. Go for it, maybe it helps!
