For example on Huawei P20 Pro maximum exposure time via manual selection is only 1 sec. This is way too short e. g. for northern light photos and similar dark sky photography. This needs to be extended to minimum 30 sec. Native camera in P20 Pro supports 30secs exposure time but lacks control possibilities. So this feature request should be technically possible feature. Additionally also longer exposure times would be great e. g. by stacking and combining automatically multiple photos utilizing creted extended dynamic range.

Longer shutter speed would be awesome! Samsung's phones seem to max out at 10 seconds. I'm thinking 15 to 20 seconds on Samsung phones would be ideal for astrophotography.

the solution is combinning live multipe normal shots as the NR mode or the HDR mode .this solution is not limited by the hardware limitations but will increase the time calculation and will push to top the chipset.

No. Again... This isn't the same thing! For light painting and star trailing could work. But not for making photos of faint things or astrophotography.

It's my understanding that the newer Samsung phones with Android 10 has made 30 second exposures available to third-party apps. I get 30 second manual exposures on my S10 with the app DeepSkyCamera. I can still only have a 1 second maximum manual exposure with Open Camera.

Hey Mark! Thanks for developing this app!
How can I do a "multiple exposure" shot? with the first being "standard" shot with flash, and another being 10 -30 seconds with no flash?
I have a galaxy s10, and the in-app camera can do exposures up to 30 seconds. But can't do multiple exposures. I'm trying to take pictures of the aurora borealis tonight. I want a "multiple exposure" shot, where the first shot is with camera flash, and then the second shot is no flash with a 10 second exposure. I can't find a way to do that with your app or any others.
With the S10 camera app, I can do one or the other, but not both. I don't mind doing that, but it requires two people and lots of button touching (so shaky and the image will come out bad)
I think your app can do it, but unsure how to extend the exposure to 15 or 20 seconds. Any help?
Thank you!

It's still the case that Samsung devices limit the maximum exposure time for third party applications, I'm afraid.

Actually I have the Samsung A20 and thru Camera FV-5 it is possible to set the maximum exposure time to 60 seconds, sos the camera must be capable of this. I, too, will be using this for astrophotography.
Awesome app nevertheless.

Please, add this. Could be something as simple as on "Photos configuration", having a option to override max time exporuse with a warning. It's sadly that nobody implemented this before the Neowise comet.

Do you have a reference for this?
The maximum exposure comes from the camera 2 API. Though offering longer exposure times through software by combining frames is on my todo.

Hi all,
Got the same problem, any solution please?
Thanks

The maximum time is a property of the device I'm afraid and can't just be overridden (unless using software methods like stacking).
I just bought an LG G5 used for $60. It has 30 sec maximum exposure and raw. At the price it's hard to go wrong!
