Would the the ability to have a gyro data from the IMU sensors recorded and saved during video recording. This would allow users to then use stabilisation software such as Gyroflow to stabilise the videos after the fact. Similar to Rocksteady for GoPros, or Sony Catalyst Browse for some recent sony cameras.
It looks like this is already recorded in the exif for photos, but it would be good to have it for videos too.
Additionally, it would be good if the default digital video stabilisation option used IMU sensor data for stabilisation on the fly.

This has the potential to disrupt gimbal manufacturers as by using only the camera and gyro technology, videos can be produced stably through gyroflow innovation. Users can thus create smooth and stable videos without the need to invest in a dedicated gimbal device, presenting a new challenge for gimbal manufacturers to stay competitive in this ever-changing and innovative market👍

Gyroflow is the best opensource gyro stabilisation software. We need android cameras to be able to save gyro data . I am the owner of the facebook FPV Stabilization Tools group , a group with 8000 members.

I have tested recording a video and at the same time record IMU data with "Sensor logger", it worked but I have to start and stop each app sepparatly and it's a mess doing so. But for testing purpose I managed to export sensor files and import both video files and sensor data file into Gyroflow and did a nice stabilization video.
The fact that this app can record in log color, disable noise reduction, makes it great for some specific case uses, like low light + denoising and stabilization in post :)
Please add that feature

Indeed, I would love to see this feature supported.

This would be a very nice feature to have, there was a fork of opencamera that supported the feature but its no longer being mantained (shame the version of opencamera its based is so old it doesnt even record video on my phone), it shouldnt be too hard to take the code for the gyro logging and merge it upstream.
