Hi,
i discovered this app and I must say it is the BEST Cam App I've ever tried (Video Quality); but unfortunatelly absolutely USELESS for me, since has no Video Timestamp function!
I make documentary videos, for which I absolutely need a current time display during the video recording (embedded in the video), including the seconds display! (see attached .gif)
I've tested countless apps that offer this feature, but almost all of them suck. At the moment I use the "In Timestamp Camera", but it also has shortcomings.
Could you PLEASE add a timestamp function to your next update?
Thanks & Greetings
Video timestamps is on my TODO for a future version, although I'm afraid I don't have any timescale for this.

I've been dreaming for a long time of a function that would allow me, with OpenCamera, to take a photo every 3, or 4 or 5 seconds, with the smartphone screen off :-)
(to be used for aerial kite photography)

This is not true - the last update is 28 May (and even between updates, it's under active development).
There are a vast range of feature requests, bug fixes, Android updates to take account of, and I have to balance all of these requests and issues. I'm afraid I also don't have time to respond to all emails and posts (although I do read them).

Just another tweak to the request for embedded frame-by-frame timestamps. I need to take videos at either 60 fps or 120 fps but with the embedded frame-by-frame times from GPS, not normal phone time. The need to is time a model car race event with an unknown ending location - so normal laser trip lines don't work. So need time using 2 phones taking videos - one at the fixed start location and the other at the unknown end - second cameraman can walk with car... Then get start time from phone 1's start frame, and end time from the second phone's car stop frame time. Need 1 ms resolution. So all I need is MM:SSS - not full datetime

Sorry for posting with an anonymous account but I'd just like to add that hardcoding date into videos would be a pretty cool feature - reminiscing of the old times with analog camcorders

The author doesn't really take into consideration these features for some reason and the app hasn't been updated in a long time.
