here are my suggestions for important features and improvements:
1.) Text stamp must not be permanently saved but should support a shot-wise COMMENT. So it should be deleted after a shot regularly. Or implement both kinds (permanent and shot-wise).
1b.) Support of the EXIF comment field additionally adding the comment above here!
2.) Audio record feature at PHOTOS for making voice comments and/or original background noise recordings (for ~3..5 seconds) for original sound slideshows. If the firmware doesn't support an activated mic and photo shot simultaneously the audio recording should be done just after the shot and be named like the jpg file.
3.) Additional option point for option 'Verwende Adressen' ('Use addresses' ): GPS address stamp only if the address is available. Otherwise NOTHING (no coordinates)!
4.) Support of PIP function (dual camera) for photos and videos. If not supported (currently supported only by Snapdragon chips, unfortunately) support one-by-one PIP for photos (1 click, 2 shots automatically)
5.) Boomerang feature with several parameters (speed, time gap, circle mode, etc.)!!
6.) Add picture collage feature !!
7.) Time lapse and slow motion support.
Problem:
1.) The ISO parameter is varied just very little, also at night. It is almost around 1680. Why is that so?... My camera supports even 6400! Isn't there a bug?...
Thank you very much for your care for my suggestions and wishes! I am sure those are great features to be implemented prioritized, aren't they?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Hallo.

(5)+(6): I feel these are more options for a gallery or editor application.
For (7), these are supported (if supported for the device), although I know slow motion is in practice buggy on some devices.
"The ISO parameter is varied just very little, also at night. It is almost around 1680. Why is that so?... My camera supports even 6400! Isn't there a bug?..."
The ISO behaviour is up to the device (and unfortunately for some devices, the camera behaves differently for third party applications to what they allow for the stock camera application).

There was a request for time-lapse implementation here.
Request.
I would like to be able to set the "Time Lapse Frame Rate".
Normally on my device, I cannot shoot 4K at 60 fps because the frame rate is displayed as invalid.
However, if it is a time-lapse 2x,
60fps (30+30fps), so I should actually be able to shoot at 60fps.
However, even with the current time-lapse function, the frame rate is displayed as invalid and cannot be taken.
I think the current time-lapse function is designed to take pictures at the specified frame rate and then write only the necessary frames to the file.
If this can be changed (or selected) to a method that reduces the frame rate according to the time-lapse magnification,
I think it would be possible to shoot time-lapse at 60fps, 120fps, etc.

Sorry for not replying to this sooner - I do read people's posts, but get an awful lot of posts+emails.
These are all good ideas. I wasn't sure what you mean by (1)?
For (3), unfortunately the option has had to be removed anyway ( https://sourceforge.net/p/opencamera/blog/2022/06/version-1501/ ).

is it possible to add something like this?
