Please can Open Camera save capture time in EXIF as UTC when this option is selected. Currently it only changes the file name to UTC.
Why?
I use the excellent Bulk Rename Utility to rename all my image files to the date and time at which they were captured. When done with format YYYYMMDDHHMISS it means that they all appear in chronological sequence when seen in a file viewer, regardless of which camera they were captured with.
I was therefore delighted to see the Open Camera option to use UTC regardless of smartphone time since I keep my DSLRs on UTC regardless of the time of year or where in the world I am shooting.
Unfortunately, I now know that this option only applies to the filename at capture, not EXIF data; if I process any Open Camera images in Lightroom the file names of the exported files then carry the local time. I have to use a bulk EXIF editor to set them right before then running the Bulk Rename Utility to convert the file names to the above format.
Many thanks!
Charlie

Please can I have an update on this feature request before I decide to stop using Open Camera and migrate to another app? This would be a shame because otherwise it is great.
In addition to what I wrote in my original post I find that the date taken according to EXIF isn't reliable so I can't even change it in bulk using the same offset any more.
Thank you.
