Option to limit photo count in NR mode, to prevent crashing

It seems to me NR mode selects a different amount of pictures to take depending on the scene, sometimes 4 and sometimes 8 (correct me if I'm wrong). However, it also seems the app crashes for me when it tries to capture 8 photos in max resolution, but not 4 - therefore I'd like an option to limit the photo count in NR mode.
When using 8 MP resolution or lower I could take 8 photos in NR too - 12 MP is the maximum for NR mode on my device.
I'm running LOS 21 on a Galaxy A72.
