Hi! When I try to take a photo I realised that the orientation of the phone is always horizontal. It would be nice if there was the possibility of vertical orientation when I try to take a photo vertically. The one photo below is taken vertically and the other horizontally. Thank you!

Here to second this suggestion. I use Facebook chat heads on the right side of my screen and if I want to use the camera vertically, the FB chat heads end up in the way of the shutter button.

Please add myself and my father to the list of users who would prefer the ability to use the device in portrait orientation while the camera is open. It's rather disorientating for the device to suddenly change orientation simply because I've opened a camera app, especially when the app's interface appears in the correct current orientation.
It would also be acceptable to have an option to keep the status bar visible while the camera is open, as a visual indicator of where it is (and prevent accidentally opening it while trying to access the last picture taken). Currently you can leave the navbar enabled, but there is no setting that allows me to leave the status bar showing, and those who mostly use the device in portrait orientation will not expect the status bar and navbar to not be opposite each other.

Thanks for the info, it's on my todo to better support both portrait and landscape system orientations.
