Hi. I've got a few suggestions which would greatly improve opencamera's use.

A gui and physical controls editor (aswell as wireless controls through Bluetooth etc) would allow users to reving figure the guy to their needs, with swappable guis and on screen launchers for different filming setups. Developers could also use it to setup their custom style. Attaching any function in the phones camera to a control.

Processing plugin interface, would allow executable files which process image streams to be plugged in and selected by user or software. This could be new codecs using CPU, GPU and DSP resources, as many better video encoders lack any custom hardware support, but the other resources could enhance even normal codec bitrates.

The file writer backend plugin, is because many phones are so slow at writing to files, as to not be able to keep up with good codec datarates, so it would be useful if there was an alternative writing mechanism, by card, USB or wifi etc.
