Hi, i would like the support for a second rear camera (i.e. xiaomi Mi8 has 2 rear camera: a wide one and a tele, plus the front one).

On my phone (LG G5) I can just press the switch camera button (a white camera with an arrow just above the shutter button). It will circle between all 3 cameras in the phone. Personally it would be nice with the option of having a button for each camera, but it works.

Some phones don't expose all of their cameras to third party camera applications.

Does the Nokia 8 expose both cameras? And does it allow raw shooting with the black and white camera?

Yes, indeed. The "toggle between cameras" button is ok if there are two cameras as a single press is sufficient to switch. However with 3 or more cameras one may have to press multiple times to activate the desired camera. On top of this, if the selfie camera on the phone physically pops up (e.g. OnePlus 7 Pro) then going from wide to tele rear cameras may involve cycling through the selfie causing an unnecessary and annoying pop of the camera.

Would be nice to have a drop down list when pressing the switch camera button, so to make it easier to select which camera to use in the case of multiple rear/front cameras instead of cycling through all the cameras in order to go back to the primary camera.

For this and the previous comment - this is on my todo to improve. I plan to have the existing button switch only between front/back, and (for multiple camera devices) a separate button to switch between the available cameras in that (front or back) direction. And possibly something like long-press to bring up a full list, as you suggest.

How do I enable the switch camera button? I can't seem to find a related setting (Open Camera 1.47.3, OnePlus 7T).

It's the same icon (next to shutter button) that's used to switch between front and back cameras.

I have tried this button, though it doesn't toggle between the three back cameras of my OnePlus 7T. Every time I switch back from front to back camera, it uses the same main camera (not wide or tele). Do I miss something else or does the 7T not support 3rd party camera apps?

This likely means the OnePlus 7T isn't exposing the extra camera to third party applications. Also see Open Camera's Settings/About, it reports the "No. of cameras" that it sees.

One way to confirm is to try other camera applications or the various "camera probe" applications. If they don't, you could try reporting it at https://forums.oneplus.com .

I checked and Open Camera's Settings/About reports only 2 cameras. One in the back and ond in the front. So do a few camera probe apps.

I also posted to the OnePlus forum with a request to make the wide and tele lenses available to 3rd party apps. I have not idea, however, when this will happen - if at all.

Yes repeated toggle of the camera switches to wide view on Samsung s10+, however only in full resolution. So, this makes opencam of limited use.

You should be able to change the resolution used when using the wide view camera? Note that the resolutions are stored separately per-camera.

Yes, PLEASE implement this request. I'm on a Huawei P30Pro and I cannot use the wide-angle camera at all, which for me is a reason not to use OpenCamera. However, the standard camera-app on the P30Pro you cannot disable stabilization, which is AWFUL, creating 'ghost'-effects. OpenCamera does this perfectly, but again I'm using the Wide-Angle quite a lot, so; please. You will save a lot of P30Pro buyers a lot of regrets about their phone, which is practically useless for video.

Oh btw: on P30Pro it might be as easy as just allowing zoom-level < 1 in OpenCamera. So the standard camera-app on P30Pro indicated wide-angle-camera as zoom level '0.9', '0.8' etc. This because the tele-lens on the P30Pro DOES work in OpenCamera (switches automatically if you choose a zoom-level > 5). It might be worth a try.. Thanks a LOT!

You can use wide angle camera with repeatedly clicking "switch camera"-button (it's easy to notice change in zoom levels). Not convenient though.

But in native app with wide angle you can set focus point to ~1inch. in open camera that is not possible for some reason. I use wide angle mostly for macro shots and would never go back to native if I could use focal bracketing/ noise reduction with p30pro :)
