one useful feature if it is possible to be made would be to have ready shortcuts that open directly to a photo mode
i.e.
- (keep all other settings and) open directly to X-night
- (keep all other settings and) open directly to NR
I think it be very nice and quick to use the camera that way..

Oh yes, that would be great. Idea: Create a shortcut that is directly associated with a settings-file saved in Open Camera.
I remember years ago some android versions supported those shortcuts, than Vignette photo app supported it. That was such a great feature. I created an icon on home screen for Vignette(low res snapshot) oder e.g. one for Vignette(pro manual photo mode).
I know today such shortcuts can be made with 3rd party tools like Tasker or Shortcut Maker.
Perhaps there is a way to do this?
Or at least have a button in the gui, that directly lists the saved settings for a quick recall?
