Version 1.16

Version 1.16 is now available. Improvements include:

  • Fixed video problems on some devices, including Galaxy S2 and some S3 variants -problems including the video failing to record, being corrupt, corrupting the preview, or even the entire device freezing.
  • A new GUI for choosing the file dialog, so you no longer have to manually enter a path.
  • Various bug fixes and UI improvements.
  • New Russian translation (thanks to maksnogin). If you are willing to translate Open Camera to another language, please contact me!

I didn't post about version 1.15; this mainly included some bug fixes, including making it so that Open Camera properly responded to video errors, including hitting the maximum size (Android devices have a built in maximum video file size, e.g., 1.9GB - before Open Camera wouldn't notice the video had stopped).

    There is still the problem on China XiaoMi 3, while take shoot video the preview window freezing.

      Thanks for the info, it seems that this doesn't fix the video problems on all devices then :( Unfortunately hard for me to debug/fix without finding a device to test on.
