The following forum message was posted by norm_brandinger at http://sourceforge.net/projects/opencalea/forums/forum/693255/topic/5371063: The project hasn't had any public updates for awhile. I've been working on a rewrite that uses XML config files, libevent, and multiple threads. No plans to move from C to LUA (lol). The new code is capturing traffic, but isn't ready to be deployed yet as I've only been able to work on it in my spare time. I believe that an updated LAES standard has been released and is available from ATIS. Haven't looked at it yet. Would be happy to answer any questions you have about the existing codebase. Regards, Norm |

The following forum message was posted by andrewtsterling at http://sourceforge.net/projects/opencalea/forums/forum/693255/topic/5371063: Open note to all... I'm a Network Engineer for a mid-sized regional ISP and managed services provider. Currently we're using a TTP (Trusted Third Party) for CALEA compliance. We would like to bring this in house. Can anyone pass on details regarding any experience you've had with deploying OpenCALEA in a true production environment (ISP, large campus, etc...)? Can anyone provide feedback for any instances where OpenCALEA had been used to provide traffic to a LEA (Law Enforcement Agency) ? Thank you |
