Most of the folks in the ML don't even know how to run the software properly and post issues that any competent GSM engineer would know are PEBCAK ... Burning Man and their real world deployment probably provide much more reliable testing data point ... (I'm not familiar with inner workings of Range Networks / Kestrel, but from OpenBSC, I know a lot more issue are discovered during wide testing at CCC congress or camp or running it in production than are reported during the year on the ML by "users" ...) > That's what i consider just unfair. AFAIK there hasn't been that many community people developing stuff on the OpenBTS core code base itself (except for Alexander and Thomas, I couldn't even name any other ... and no, trivial patches/fixes don't count so I'm not even one of those ...)
