Hi,

I do not understand exactly what you mean with “use my Motorola phone before USRP” – as a transceiver for OpenBTS?

Ralph.

Hello,

I'm trying to build OpenBTS on Kali Linux. I choose this distrubiton because most of the necessary packages are already installed. I'm planning to use my motorola phone before usrp solution.

So I've followed the instructions on wush.net, however when I run OpenBTS, I receive "openbts: EMERG 139771302639360 14:36:27.4 OpenBTS.cpp:156:startTransceiver: Transceiver quit with status 256. Exiting." message. I suspected the UHD driver. Even though I tried to install the driver I receive below message for "uhd_usrp_probe".

linux; GNU C++ version 4.7.2; Boost_104900; UHD_003.005.003-0-unknown

Error: LookupError: KeyError: No devices found for ----->
Empty Device Address

I think the reason is the conflict between the UHD driver versions. Because when I run "./configure --with-uhd" I receive below message:

checking for UHD... configure: error: Package requirements (uhd >= 003.004.000) were not met:

No package 'uhd' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables UHD_CFLAGS
and UHD_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

I searched the mailing list and found the below solution, but I couldn't set the variables to avoid to call pkg-config.

So ,is it mean that i shall set UHD_CFLAGS and UHD_LIBS?
and how to set ?
I tried to set them to 1,the ./configure command will successful, but then
the make stop at :.....

I hope I explained my problem.

I can't proceed further. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Regards,
Ahmet
